Whatever happened to those Cabelas quick convert boots that let the hunter traverse shallow streams? They’d be great for those warm mornings where thre’s lots of dew on the ground, and the pasture is tall. I’m wearing Gore Tex pants but they’re still pretty hot to wear when it’s hot and yet not raining. Thanks, And yet once more, congratulations on a great show.
Gary, I’m not certain about such a boot. I’ve worn the Cabela’s Instinct Accelerator hip waders in the past for this purpose and they did great. I wore them up in the wader position when crossing water and rolled them down after to keep cool. It is a very good system for deer and turkey hunting and should work nicely for your situation. They’ve eliminated multiple problems for us when hunting creeks and rivers-even in hot weather. We leave the waders folded down around the calf while walking or hunting and only fold them up when we encounter deep water. They wear much like a traditionally rubber boot when folded down. Thanks for the kind words on the show! Aaron (6-12-17)
